Fast Modelling Approach for Computing AC Losses in HTS Stacks and Coils Near Ferromagnetic Parts

This paper presents a fast modelling approach for computing AC loss in high temperature superconducting (HTS) stacks and coils. The Brandt's model is extended for large scale systems, taking into account the presence of ferromagnetic parts. The obtained results are compared with finite element analysis, both on local and global quantities.
